The College of Perpendicular Logic Official Charter
We the undersigned do hereby establish and initiate an institute
for the higher learning of mankind, and doing this assume no responsibility whatsoever
for the actions of those entering this College or the influence of the several Founding
Members. Let it be declared and announced, then, that
our purpose is to further promote and enlarge the neo-concept now named Perpendicular
Logic; and, wholly pursuant to this we accept the following, any part of which may be
altered only by a consensus of the three several Founders:
THAT:
Whereas no definition of the aforesaid term, which
is in the name and title of this institution, is
presently discoverable, that it be termed thus:
That thinking, or un-process of thought that
progresses or de-progresses (according to
circumstance) in a manner that may be said to
be at right-angles to standard, common, or
accepted modes of thinking;
THAT: In order to maintain some attitude conducive
to the thought and purpose of this College, the
absolute Power and court of Final Appeals
remain and exist solely within the three several
Founding Persons, and that it shall never shift,
on pain of dissolution of this College;
THAT: No person entering into tutelage at this College
shall be permitted, or able, to achieve the
distinction of being a Doctor of Perpendicular
Logic, which distinction is hereby reserved and
created solely for we the undersigned (excepting
those acting as witnesses);
THAT: For the purpose of entering and enrolling in
this institution, applicants must exhibit peculiar
aptitude for or curiosity towards the Subject,
and that this is decided solely by the several
Founders; and THAT:
All matters of Curriculum, By-Laws, and Matters
of Administration shall be set out in later
documents.
Whereunto said purpose we now affix our signatures,
this 30th day of September in the year of a lord 1987.
