* N E W * PL and DFORCS announce the opening of a new applied research center to further the study of universal reference measurements. Read the Press Release in the Newsroom. Welcome to the main page of the Applied DFORCS Research Center at the College of Perpendicular Logic. Recently opened to provide dedicated facilities for the long-standing collaboration between the D.F.O.R.C.S. Standards Bureau and the College, the Center houses offices for 49 faculty and staff, locker space for 16 students, unfinished basement workspace for a seasonally varying number of overworked and barely acknowledged assistants, laboratories, conference rooms, and a 4-star cafetorium sporting a kitchen fully powered by the nearby solar furnace. The Center boasts an excellent student-teacher ratio, with an average class size of .7 students last year. PL Engineering students may apply for acceptance into lab courses conducted by the Center through their faculty advisor in the Engineering department. Sufficient lab hours, participation in off-site survey work, and sending flowers to the right secretary in the Registrar's Office may qualify such students for a minor in Applied Measurement Science. Please consult the 2000-2001 PL Course Catalog for exact details and current course credits on offer. |
