Press Release - for immediate distribution:
6/9/00 Geneva The D.F.O.R.C.S. Standards Bureau is pleased to announce the opening of the new Applied DFORCS Research Center at the College of Perpendicular Logic, just in time for midterms in the current semester. This new center is the result of the outstanding efforts of PL faculty and staff in the furthering and accounting of DFORCS in a series of thorough application studies. This latest expansion is the culmination of years of cooperative efforts that initially led to the creation of the College's DFORCS Sub-Department, and reflects the College's ongoing commitment to promoting superior measurement systems. The dedicated facility should greatly enhance the number and scope of field and theoretical measurement research projects conducted at the College.
The College and the Bureau have enjoyed a highly productive partnership through the Sub-Department, under the direction of the Applied DFORCS Review Board, created to oversee development of projects and coordinate funding and resources between the College and the Bureau. The Review Board will assume administration of the new Center.
Future correspondence from the Sub-Department will continue to go out under the insignia of either the College or the Bureau, as the occasion demands, with the following title and disclaimer:

The Applied DFORCS Research Center is operated by the DFORCS Sub-Department at the College of Perpendicular Logic, which is a collaborative implementation research partnership of the Implementation & Oversight Committee of the D.F.O.R.C.S. Standards Bureau, and the College of Perpendicular Logic.

For further information please contact the Public Relations Office of the D.F.O.R.C.S. Standards Bureau, or try the Center directly. We can't promise results if you try the Center, though; they're awfully busy filling their new desks with office supplies in between projects measuring recent proliferations of DFORCS applications.
